Dance Attire

All students are required to wear proper dance attire to class. This makes the classes uniform and allows the best freedom of movement for students. Please be aware of the following rules for dance attire:

Sampler classes

  • Black or Pink leotard with pink, black, or suntan tights. Ballet skirt is optional. (not all are required)
  • Pink ballet slippers for ballet. - No satin ballet slippers
  • Black patent leather tap shoes.
  • Sampler Jazz students require pink ballet slippers only.

Beginner level classes

  • Black leotard with pink, black, or suntan tights, black bike shorts, and black jazz pants. Ballet skirt is optional. (not all are required)
  • Pink leather ballet slippers for ballet students.
  • Black patent leather tap shoes for tap students.
  • Tan jazz shoes for jazz students.
  • White sneakers for beginner hip‑hop students.

Jr level and above classes

  • Black leotard with ballet pink, black, or suntan tights, black bike shorts, and black jazz pants. Ballet skirt is optional. (not all are required)
  • Tan jazz shoes for jazz and musical theater students.
  • Black oxford tap shoes for tap students.
  • Black Converse or Converse like sneakers.
  • Pink leather ballet slippers for ballet students.
  • Pointe shoes will be recommended by the teacher.
  • Contemporary and Lyrical classes require foot undies or half soles.

Hip-Hop classes

  • All hip-hop students must wear form fitting athletic top in pink, black or white and black athletic bottoms.

Boys Hip-Hop classes

  • Boys hip hop classes are required to have a clean pair of black sneakers for class only and are required to wear athletic wear to class.

For All Classes

  • Dance sweaters will only be permitted in class - no sweatshirts or t-shirts.
  • Hair must be pulled off neck and face.

Attendance

A student’s absence affects not only their own progress, but also the progress of the entire class. Therefore, regular attendance is mandatory for all students. The following rules are in effect regarding attendance.

Lessons missed may be made up in an alternate class as recommended by the teacher. Only 2 classes can be made up in order to qualify for perfect attendance.

Students with excessive absences or absences during the last six weeks before the June recital may be required to make up the classes missed by booking a private lesson ($45 per ½ hour at the convenience of the teacher)

A student may be denied the privilege to dance in the annual recital based in absenteeism, poor class performance, and accounts which arrears for tuition.

No refunds will be granted for a missed class.

Tuition

For your convenience, yearly tuition is broken into 9 1/2 equal payments (Sept-June). A locked payment box is available in the waiting room for payments made by check. When paying by cash, receipts should be obtained by a staff member. Online payments can be made through our parental portal link found on this website.

A 10% discount is applied for a family’s tuition that exceeds $220.00 per month and a 15% discount is applied for a family’s tuition that exceeds $260.00 per month.

In order to keep the studio running, any tuition payments not received by the 15th of every month will be assessed a $5.00 late fee. Tuition payments are non refundable.

There will be a $20.00 charge for checks returned due to insufficient funds. Tuition balances must be paid in full in order to perform in the dance recital.

Snow Cancellations

Only in case of a major snowstorm will classes be canceled. Please check your email two hours prior to classes starting or visit the website.
