Offering Classes in a Wide Range of Dance Styles

Center Stage Class Descriptions

Dance Samplers

These classes are designed to enhance the student’s creative ability, coordination and musicality and to introduce them to a variety of dance forms. Preschool and Kindergarten Samplers are 1 hour weekly and combine Pre-Ballet and Tap.

Intermediate Samplers offer the six through eight year old student Ballet, Tap and Introductory Jazz. These classes are 1 to 1 1/2 hours weekly. Jazz Classes are offered to students 6 years of age through adult. Various styles of Jazz are taught to “today’s” pop, rock, blues, and lyrical music. Classes range from 3/4 to 1 hour.

Ballet

Our complete graded system of classical ballet includes all the elements of barre, centre, adagio, and allegro during each class. Classes are weekly and range from 3/4 hour to 1 hour depending on the level of the class. Advanced students are encouraged to take at least 2 classes per week.

Pointe Classes

Are devoted to the technique of dancing on toe (sur les pointes). Pointe class may only be taken at the recommendation of the teacher. All pointe students must also be enrolled in a ballet class.

Contemporary

An expressive form of dance that combines elements of Jazz, Modern Dance and Ballet, to students 12 years of age through adult.

Lyrical

A blend of elements of ballet and jazz dance while having expressive movements while telling a story. For students ages 10 to adult. All classes are 3/4 hr long.

Hip Hop

A street dance style primarily performed to hip hop music or that has evolved as part of hip hop culture. We teach a wide range of hip hop styles in our curriculum. For Girls, Boys, Teens, and Adults. All classes are 3/4 hr long.

Musical Theatre

The Form of theatrical performance that combines songs, spoken dialogue, acting and dance. For students 8 years of age to adult. All classes are 3/4 hr long.

Tap

The Tap classes emphasize technique, clarity of sound, rhythm, speed, and training in basic combinations and routines. All classes are 1/2 to 3/4 hours long. Class Placement Students are placed at the appropriate levels in each subject based on age, previous dance training and demonstrated skill and commitment.

Tuition Rates

For your convenience, yearly tuition is divided into 9 1/2 payments, September through June. Tuition is based on the combined time of all classes taken per student. The first 30 mins of class time is $45 and each additional 15 minutes a student spends in class is an additional $8. Each additional 15minutes decreases to $7 at a total of two and half hours and to $6 at a total of 5 hours of class time.

After classes begin, changes may be suggested by the teacher to assure that each student receives the best possible learning experience.
